Santino Ferrucci is heading into the 2026 NTT IndyCar Series season with renewed determination and a clear focus after a difficult 2025 campaign that fell well short of expectations. Entering his fourth year driving the No. 14 for A.J. Foyt Racing, Ferrucci is eager to move past a challenging season and return to the form that once made him a rising contender in the series.
After finishing ninth in the championship in 2024, Ferrucci slipped to 16th in the standings last year, recording just four top-five finishes and six top-10 results. Rather than deflect blame, Ferrucci has been openly reflective about his role in the team’s struggles, acknowledging that his own mistakes played a part in their inconsistency.
“I think some of the inconsistencies are kind of more on my side of things than anything else,” Ferrucci said during IndyCar Content Days. He emphasized that recognizing and learning from those errors has been a key part of his offseason preparation. “Being able to go through those and get everything sorted going into this year will be a big deal,” he added.
Ferrucci is encouraged by the stability within A.J. Foyt Racing, noting that continuity among the team’s personnel could make a meaningful difference in performance.
“I think this is one of the first years in a long time the team has had almost zero turnover, if any at all,” Ferrucci said. “We’re building something consistent, something that is competitive, and I’m just really happy to be a part of it.”
Another positive development for the team is the continued partnership with Homes For Our Troops as Ferrucci’s full-time sponsor for the season. He believes having a consistent livery and sponsor presence will benefit the team behind the scenes as well as on track.
“Less work for the mechanics, less things to worry about come race weekends,” Ferrucci explained, suggesting that the added stability could help streamline operations.
Looking ahead, Ferrucci is confident that the team can recapture the strong pace they displayed at points last season, particularly during their mid-year stretch of competitiveness. His goal is clear: to consistently challenge for top-five finishes and podiums in 2026.
With a fresh mindset and a stable team around him, Ferrucci enters the new season determined to turn last year’s setbacks into motivation — and to reestablish himself as a driver capable of fighting at the front of the IndyCar field.
